Grant Hounds Take the readiness check

Terms of use

Effective September 17, 2026

These terms apply when you use granthounds.com, including the grant readiness check and our forms. By using the site, you agree to them. If you have questions, email us at hello@granthounds.com.

Who we are, and who we aren't

Grant Hounds is an independent research service. We research and evaluate grant opportunities for small businesses and nonprofits and report what we find. We aren't a government agency or a funder, we don't award grants, and we aren't affiliated with Grants.gov, SAM.gov, or any funder we research. We aren't a law firm, an accounting firm, or a financial adviser.

General information, not advice

Everything on this site, including the readiness check, your readiness score, the sample fit report, and our answers to common questions, is general information. It isn't legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and it isn't a decision about whether your organization qualifies for any program. Talk with a qualified professional about your own situation.

No guarantee of funding

A readiness score describes how prepared an organization appears to be to apply for grants. A Fit Score measures how well an opportunity aligns with an organization, based on the information we're given and the funder's published criteria. Neither one is the chance of being funded, and neither guarantees eligibility, selection, or an award. Funders make their own decisions and can change their deadlines, amounts, and requirements at any time, so always confirm the details with the funder before you apply.

Using our forms

Please give us accurate information, and only information you're allowed to share for your organization. Don't send Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, passwords, or personal details about the people you serve. Sending a form doesn't make you a client, doesn't start paid work, and doesn't commit either of us to anything. Our privacy policy explains how we handle what you send.

Client work

Paid research is covered by a separate written agreement that sets out the scope, fee, deliverables, and timing. We don't begin paid work until you've approved it in writing. If that agreement and these terms ever say different things, the agreement controls.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help research and organize grant information. Every recommendation is checked against the funder's own published information, and a person reviews every report before it's sent. AI tools can make mistakes, which is one more reason to confirm details with the funder.

We link to funders and other outside sites so you can check our sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.
